Jacks Visit

Thanks to the Jacks for a great weekend. Char and I Wii boxed our arms of and did a little painting. The guys golf Wii and sampled some rum.

First Weekend Out

All the kids came out and we had a great time playing hide and seek, battle ship, Floam and Wii. The guys burned crap for hours. David stayed out side for hours making snow angles on every patch of snow he could find.

The Move

After a brief delay on when the closing day would be, (apparently bankers don't like to work on New Years Day) we got the keys to the cottage on January 3rd. We had been eyeing the weather forecast looking for a reasonably warm weekend to move all of our things out of storage and out the the lake. The weather was favorable, so we called the boys, Sarah and Lorne and booked the truck for January 7th.

Everything went quickly and reasonably well. Thanks to a unexpectedly large truck from the rental place, and the boys bringing trucks themselves, everything made it out in one trip. Nothing got broken and no one was seriously hurt, though Lorne did end up on his back with an exercise bike on his chest at one point.

Now that everything is in, we can start sorting through what we have and where it should go. There is also a fair bit of "stuff" that was left behind by the previous owner that we will have to deal with(or burn). Let the adventure begin!
