Jacks Visit

Dinner time on the kitchen island.

Thanks to the Jacks for a great weekend. Char and I Wii boxed our arms of and did a little painting. The guys golf Wii and sampled some rum.

A huge dump of snow on the last weekend in February.

Welcome!

Early in 2012, we bought a cottage just off Lac St. Anne in the community of Ross Haven. She was a bit of a fixer-upper, but we wanted a project almost as much as we wanted a calm retreat. This blog will show both sides of it. Both the sweaty and dirty renovation work, and the relaxing lake life that is our reward.

We have named her "The Ponderosa" partially because of the TV show Bonanza, to which we have no great affinity; but mostly because of the restaurant Ponderosa Steakhouse, where we both worked and first met.
